St George ‘Short Stuff’ Youth Film Festival Youth Week 2015

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Con Hindi is inviting local young people to celebrate Youth Week 2015, by joining the St George ‘Short Stuff’ Film Festival. Mayor Hindi said budding young filmmakers are invited to enter a film into the festival, which is offering over $3000 worth of cash prizes.

“This fast-paced competition is open to anyone aged 12 – 24 years,” he said.

“Filmmakers of all skill levels are encouraged to take part and films can be made using smart phones, tablets or cameras."

“I encourage young people to get creative and take up this opportunity to learn a new skill.”

Mayor Hindi said the films can be about any topic, however filming must take place between 6.00pm on Friday, 17 April 2015 and 6.00pm on Sunday, 19 April 2015 inclusive.

“Entrants must attend the launch event on Friday, 17 April 2015, at Shopfront Theatre, 88 Carlton Parade, Carlton,” he said.

“Technical staff will be on hand at Shopfront Theatre from 10:00am – 6:00pm on both Saturday, 18 April and Sunday, 19 April 2015."

“All films entered will be considered for screening at the 'Short Stuff' Film Screening event to be on held Friday, 8 May 2015 at Event Cinemas, Hurstville.”
