Youth Services

Hurstville City Council provides information, resources and activities for young people in our community through its Youth Services.

Hurstville City's young people bring creativity, energy and hope for the future of our City. Young people in the area (12 to 24 years old) make up approximately 17 per cent of the total population.

Young people in Hurstville City are diverse in interests, outlooks, cultural backgrounds and needs. They have a right to access community facilities, services, and public spaces and to participate in community decision-making.

Being young is a challenging and exciting period, which can be stressful and leave people feeling vulnerable. Young people, their friends, families and carers, may need support in progressing through this time of life.

Hurstville City Council is committed to engaging young people in our community in decision-making and providing opportunities for them to identify their own needs. Through regular youth consultations, the views of young people are acknowledged and addressed in Council's social planning process.

For more information, please telephone Council's Youth Services Worker on 02 9330 6222.
