Social Plans

Under the provisions of the Local Government Act, Council is required to prepare a Social Plan covering a number of specified population groups as set out under the Act.

These Plans assist Council to make decisions about the type and priority of activities and services it will undertake on the basis of community needs and priorities identified by each Social Plan.  Council considers these needs and priorities in the formulation of its Management Plan, within the context of Council's legal responsibilities and available financial resources.
