Exempt Development
Bridges & Staircases
Bridges and staircases are Exempt Developments when the following requirements are satisfied under one of the two Development Control Plans (DCPs) which cover the City Centre, and the remaining areas in Hurstville City.
Developments must not contravene any condition of development consent already applying to the land.
Furthermore, the proposed development must comply with standards under the Building Code of Australia.
Adjoining owners' property rights, the applicable common law and other legislative requirements for approvals, licences, permits and authorities still apply.
