Council Symbols

Hurstville City Council's logo is a contemporary design inspired by our traditional Coat of Arms. This logo is used in most general communications.

The design is the work of Council staff and communication specialists.  It comprises the head, neck and wing of a dragon, enclosed in a circle to give a seal-like effect.  The circle is broken top and bottom, left and right, to suggest the cross of St George.  The logo is easy to see and comprehend, has good contrast and can be miniaturised without reducing legibility.

Two colours, apricot and dark green, are used in Council's contemporary symbol. In the Pantone Matching System (PMS), the green is equivalent to PMS 3435 and the apricot, PMS 149.
