ECHOES in 2009 early childhood exhibition

2 Jun 2009

Mayor Badalati said ECHOES in 2009 (Early Childhood Organic Expressions Show) is presented by children and early childhood teachers from Penshurst Long Day Care Centre and Jack High Child Care Centre, in Beverly Hills.

“More than ever we understand that early childhood is the most important part of a child’s learning journey,” he said.

“Children attending Council’s early childhood programs enjoy rich learning programs that include arts, craft and other creative activities.”

Mayor Badalati said the ECHOES exhibition is the culmination of a project in which children explored different dimensions of art using a range of mediums.

“The art project has given each child the opportunity to express their creativity, regardless of age, ability and experience,” he said.

The official opening of ECHOES will be held on Saturday 6 June 2009 at 10.30am. All welcome.

Children from 4-10 years old who attend the opening can stay on for activities and games at Dragonflys Kids Club, from 11.00am – 12.30pm. The cost is $5 and bookings are essential.

ECHOES in 2009 will run in the Museum & Gallery until Saturday, 27 June 2009.
