2012 Hurstville Excellence in Business Awards

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Steve McMahon congratulated local businesses for their hard work and dedication at the 2012 Hurstville Excellence in Business Awards.
Mayor McMahon said the Awards, now in their 10th year, recognised the outstanding contributions of Hurstville City businesses to economic and community life.
“Our businesses are the backbone to our economy, vital in servicing our residents and important in attracting visitors to shop, dine and participate in a range of other activities,” he said.
“We have almost 7,500 businesses in Hurstville City and the Awards are a way for Council to reward their outstanding contribution and acknowledge the very important role they play in boosting the local economy.
“It is the vision and creativity of local businesses which will ensure the success of the local economy over the coming years.”
