Lugarno Spring Festival 2011

The annual Lugarno Lions Spring Festival will be held in Gannons Park, Peakhurst on Sunday, 18 September 2011.
The annual event attracts thousands of St George residents and visitors every year and is again shaping up to be a great day out for the whole family.
Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Philip Sansom said over the past 32 years, the festival has grown to one of the biggest in the region .
“The event is proudly hosted by the Lugarno Lions Club, who spend many months preparing for this great festival for the benefit of the Hurstville community” he said.
“The organisation is to be applauded for all its hard work and commitment in presenting this outstanding annual family fun day.”
The day will feature:
• Donnie Sutherland’s ‘Sounds of Jukebox’
• Show jumping competition
• Jousting team and horse vaulting
• Classic car display
• More than 180 stalls
• Carnival rides
• Free entertainment
Proceeds from the day support many local organisations with the Prostate Cancer Institute at St George Hospital being a major recipient.
