Cr Philip Sansom re-elected to Mayoral office

Cr Con Hindi was also re-elected unopposed as Deputy Mayor.
Mayor Sansom said he was greatly honored to be re-elected as Mayor for the second year in a row.
“I would like to thank my fellow Councillors for demonstrating their continued confidence in me by returning me to the office of Mayor,” he said.
“Over the past 12 months, my colleagues and I have proved that we can work together in the best interests of the local community, irrespective of our political allegiances.
“Collectively, we grappled with some difficult issues and I know that we have made the right decisions which best suit the community as a whole.
“I look forward to working closely with the Deputy Mayor and other Councillors over the next year to make Hurstville an even better place to live, work and play.”
Cr Con Hindi said he was proud to be re-elected as Deputy Mayor and would continue to support the delivery of programs at a grass roots level.
“I am committed to improving community facilities, renewing assets and delivering services,” he said.
“Our residents deserve the best and I will ensure that Council works hard to meet the changing needs of our ever expanding community.
“It is vitally important for Council to be open and transparent and to heed the call of the community at all times.”
