Discovery Festival of Community Arts returns for another year

Georges River Council is inviting all residents across the St George area to come along and support the 2016 Discovery Festival of Community Arts.

The annual festival is a great initiative which explores the multicultural elements of the local area and promotes diversity.

The festival aims to inspire, challenge and celebrate the diversity of our local community while also fostering a passion for art, music and theatre.

Like previous years, the 2016 Discovery Festival of Community Arts will feature art exhibitions, concerts, artist talks, and movie screenings.

Everyone is encourgaed to get involved in this year’s festival and enjoy the fantastic events that are scheduled.

This year’s festival will run from Friday 7 October through to Saturday 12 November 2016.

Opening the festival this year will be the St George Arts & Cultural Network Forum on Friday 7 October, at the Kogarah Library and Cultural Centre. The event will include three guest speakers, performances and visual arts presentations.
