Rural Housing Code
The Rural Housing Code allows the following types of development as complying development:
- New single and two storey dwelling houses on rural lots;
- Alterations and additions to existing dwelling houses and ancillary development on rural lots.
Alterations and additions and ancillary development on rural zoned land were already specified development under the General Housing Code. The latest amendments which came into force on the 28 February 2011 consolidated these existing provisions into the Rural Housing Code.
It should be noted that there are no rural zones within the Local Government Area of Hurstville.
