Parks, Sport & Recreation

Lifestyle is one of Hurstville City's best kept secrets and compares with almost any local government area in metropolitan Sydney.

Our central location means we are within minutes of beautiful ocean beaches, river foreshores, bush reserves and national parks. There is every kind of housing type you could imagine in Hurstville City, ranging from leafy tree-lined streets with heritage homes, to beautiful executive villas and cosmopolitan apartments.

There is a tremendous range of recreational options to enhance residents' happiness and wellbeing in our City. Our community has access to a huge network of 165 parks covering 248 hectares, as well as world class recreational facilities. These include an Aquatic Leisure Centre, tennis courts, a golf course and Hurstville Oval, one of Australia’s premier cricket sites.
