Government Rebates

There are a number of rebates offered by the NSW and Australian governments to encourage energy and water conservation, relating to ceiling insulation for uninsulated homes, solar panels, hot water systems, and old fridge and washing machine disposal as well as other initiatives.

NSW Home Saver Rebates - supported by the NSW Government's Climate Chnage Fund, provides information on rainwater tanks, solar hot water, washing machines, dual flush toilets and hot water circulators. 

Sydney Water Rebates - in association with the Climate Change Fund, free water saving kits and subsidised plumbing services are provided to make water efficiency improvements to your property.

Fridge Buyback - NSW Government program providing rebates and free pick-up of old fridges. 

Australian Government's Energy Efficient Homes Package - The Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts has rebates available for ceiling insulation and solar hot water.

Green Loans Program - additionally, the Australian Government is assisting families to install water and energy efficient products that will contribute to an overall improvement in home sustainability.  The program has two parts:

   1.  Free home sustainability assessment - conducted by a trained assessor.

   2.  Access to a green loan from a participating financial institution - for the implementation of actions recommended in the home sustainability report for your property.  Loans are up to $10,000 and interest free for up to four years.
