Government Rebates

There are a number of rebates offered by the NSW and Australian governments to encourage energy and water conservation, relating to ceiling insulation for uninsulated homes, solar panels, hot water systems, and old fridge and washing machine disposal as well as other initiatives.

 St George Council's Government Rebate Summary January 2010 (519.48kB) - Hurstville, Kogarah and Rockdale Councils have produced a document summarising all the rebates available as of January 2010.

NSW Home Saver Rebates - supported by the NSW Government's Climate Chnage Fund, provides information on rainwater tanks, solar hot water, washing machines, dual flush toilets and hot water circulators. 

Sydney Water Rebates - in association with the Climate Change Fund, free water saving kits and subsidised plumbing services are provided to make water efficiency improvements to your property.

Fridge Buyback - NSW Government program providing rebates and free pick-up of old fridges.
