Do it right on site

When you undertake demolition, excavation and building works there are a number of environmental issues that must be considered. These include:

  • Protection of heritage items
  • Health and safety of workers and the community
  • Good site management, including waste disposal
  • Erosion prevention and sediment control
  • Co-ordination of work hours and delivery of materials to minimise noise pollution, traffic and parking impacts on neighbouring residents.

The Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (SSROC) publishes a number of guides and fact sheets explaining the responsibilities of builders, tradesmen and home owners.
