Developer Contribution Plans Review

Councils in NSW can require levies from developers to help fund local services and infrastructure, under Section 94 or Section 94A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act. Developer contributions are essential to maintain the high quality of life that Hurstville City residents enjoy.

Review

Hurstville City Council is currently reviewing its Developer Contribution Plans, which guide how much developers are levied for different projects. The review is being undertaken in line with recent NSW Government reforms to legislation and guidelines.  Council has engaged consultants to assist in the review, which includes community consultation and a number of studies.

As part of the review of Contributions plans, Council and a consultant team have prepared an Open Space, Recreation, Community and Library Facilities Strategy to identify the types of open space, recreation, community and library facilities that will be required to serve the needs and aspirations of residents over the next 20 years.  Click on the following link to find out more information on this Strategy - Open Space, Recreation, Community and Library Facilities Strategy.
