Chemical Clean Out program

Hurstville City Council will be hosting the next Household Chemical CleanOut Collection. 


WHERE: Hurstville City Council, Works Depot, Mortdale. ENTRY VIA DEPOT ROAD
WHEN: Saturday 16 May 2015
TIME: 9.00am to 3.30pm

Open to all members of the public.

Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 February 2015 Sutherland Council, Bellingara Netball Centre Car Park, Miranda
Sunday 22 February 2015 Liverpool Council, Operations Centre, 99 Rose Street, Liverpool
Saturday 9 May 2015 Marrickville Council Works Depot, via Bolton Street, St Peters
Saturday 23 May 2015 Canterbury Council, Admin Building Car Park, Shakespeare St, Campsie


Materials accepted include:

  • Paints
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Poisons
  • Solvents and chemical cleaners
  • Motor oils, fuels and fluids
  • Car batteries
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Flares 
  • Pool chemicals
  • Acids and alkalis
  • Hobby chemicals
  • Florescent tubes.

Only household quantities of up to 20 kilograms or 20 litres of chemicals will be accepted.

Council collected over 85 tonnes of material in our 2013 collection events.

This is a free event sponsored by Hurstville City Council, Kogarah City Council and Rockdale City Council.
