Chemical Clean Out program

Hurstville City Council will be hosting the next Household Chemical CleanOut Collection. 

 

WHERE: Hurstville City Council, Works Depot, Roberts Avenue, Mortdale. ENTRY VIA DEPOT ROAD
WHEN: Saturday 28 May 2016
TIME: 9.00am to 3.30pm

Open to all members of the public.

Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February 2016 Sutherland Council, Bellingara Netball Centre car park, Bellingara Rd, Miranda
Sunday 21 February 2016 Liverpool Council, Operations Centre, 99 Rose Street, Liverpool
Saturday 21 May 2016 Canterbury Council, Administration Building car park, Shakespeare St, Campsie


ALL COLLECTION EVENTS LISTED ABOVE ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

 

Materials accepted include:

  • Paints
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Poisons
  • Solvents and chemical cleaners
  • Motor oils, fuels and fluids
  • Car batteries
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Flares 
  • Pool chemicals
  • Acids and alkalis
  • Hobby chemicals
  • Florescent tubes.

Only household quantities of up to 20 kilograms or 20 litres of chemicals will be accepted.

Council collected almost 35 tonnes of material at the most recent collection event in May 2015.
