Chemical Clean Out program

Hurstville City Council will be hosting a Household Chemical CleanOut Collection in May 2013. 

 
WHERE: Hurstville City Council, Works Depot, Roberts Avenue Mortdale
WHEN: Saturday 25th May 2013
TIME: 9.00am to 3.30pm
Open to all residents of Hurstville, Kogarah and Rockdale Councils.
Materials accepted include:

  • Paints
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Poisons
  • Solvents and chemical cleaners
  • Motor oils, fuels and fluids
  • Car batteries
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Flares 
  • Pool chemicals
  • Acids and alkalis
  • Hobby chemicals
  • Florescent tubes.

Only household quantities of up to 20 kilograms or 20 litres of chemicals will be accepted.

Council collected almost 45 tonnes of material in the 2012 Clean Out event.

This is a free event sponsored by Hurstville City Council, Kogarah City Council and Rockdale City Council.
