Building Certificates

Building certificates are certificates of non-action which are often used to remedy unauthorised works.

Once issued, a building certificate prevents Hurstville City Council from issuing certain types of orders for seven years.

Building Certificates are issued under Section 149A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, which outlines their full effect.

See Bulding Certificates - Section 149A

Fees

Building certificate application fees are outlined in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.
